Recognizing the critical importance of health and mental health care to individuals, families, and communities, the Foundation invests in programs or projects that achieve results aligned with the objectives outlined below. Promote access to care for underserved and/or uninsured populations.

Results Sought:

  1. Increase the number of New Yorkers with adequate and appropriate health insurance, with a particular focus on building enrollment in existing public and/or publicly subsidized insurance programs
  2. Significantly reduce language, cultural, physical, financial, and systemic barriers to care

Children's Defense Fund - New York
To help launch a feasibility study of coordinating New York's public health insurance with diverse social welfare programs including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), child care, school meals, and Women Infants and Children (WIC) programs

Community Health Care Association of New York State
To help maintain and expand technical assistance and support to health centers across New York City

To help support the Lienhard School of Nursing's Cultural Competence, Nursing, and Interdisciplinary Team Care program
